SenseSerra
A care worker and residents sharing a movement session in a bright aged care facility
About SenseSerra

It started with Dorothy.

I am here every day with the same people, and I have no one else to talk to.

Dorothy, aged care resident

James, our COO, spent years sending movement teams into aged care facilities: mobility, balance, and the everyday movements that keep people independent. A fortnight into running sessions at one facility, Dorothy stopped him mid-conversation. She did not want to be asked how her week had been.

She was not short of care. She was short of company. No exercise programme was going to fix that. Years later, James met Khoa Le, who has spent more than two decades in aged care and disability: in government, consulting to government, and inside providers building the models that keep facilities running.

One of us watched the problem happen in front of him. The other knows why the system cannot solve it alone. SenseSerra is what happened when those two views met.

Where we are now.

SenseSerra is at the pilot stage, working with a small number of aged care and disability providers in New South Wales. We are looking for a few more who want to be early rather than eventual.
